More Paleo FAQ's
Here are a few recurring questions as folks have progressed along the Paleo path:
Q: I'm concerned about all the nuts I'm eating. Isn't that too much fat?
A: Probably not. Fat is calories that you're using to perform. Provided that you're getting a balanced amount ofprotein and carbs the fat is going to fuel the fire. The body is an amazing mechanism and will find other things to do with any extra fat calories you consume.
Q: I'm hungry! What the $^%& ?!?
A: Eat more. It's that simple. You're an athlete in training, you've got to fuel up beyond what ordinary people eat. More veggies, more protein, add a little more fruit, and don't skimp on the fat. Try the snakeburger...
Q: People are looking at me funny. I go out to eat and they point and laugh and stare. I don't know if I can keep this up.
A: If the people you're with are ordinary, run-of-the-mill donut eaters, simply put, they're JEALOUS! You're an athlete, you're looking better every day, you're showing discipline they only wish they had and they can't stand it. Of course they're making fun, you're accomplishing something amazing; you're changing your life. Revel in it, enjoy! Laugh all the way to the mirror.
Q: I'm bored! There's just not enough variety.
A: Look again at the Matrix. You may miss some things but there are about 17 years worth of combinations without a repeat performance. Even if you don't eat everything on the list there are tons of possibilities. And you're not limited to these listed things, there are more. Stretch a little, explore, have some fun. Don't be such a stick in the mud.
Anything else, either email me or post a question to the comments. This Paleo eating is only over when you want it to be. Hopefully, you've found results and value in this eating plan and will want to continue. Let's keep it going!
